Around 8pm last night Botsford Fire was requested to respond to the area of Swenson Granite for the motor vehicle accident. On arrival units found two vehicles with severe damage with extrication required. One occupant of the pickup truck was cut from the vehicle and transported to Danbury hospital while the occupant in the second vehicle was pronounced at the scene. Upon notification Newtown Police Department called in there scene investigation unit to begin documenting the scene. During this time South Main Street remained closed and reopened during the early hours Monday morning.
