Sandy Hook Brush Fire
Late morning Sandy Hook & Botsford Fire responded for a reported brush fire in between Berkshire Rd & Toddy Hill Rd. Arriving units found heavy smoke and asked for additional units to respond from the initial departments. It was found that approximately 8-10 acres was burning atop a slight ridge line. Engine 552 responded and was operating over 1000 feet of hose line to reach the fire. Newtown Hook & ladder responded with an engine. Stevenson & Monroe fire responded with brush units & ATV’s while Stepney Fire stood by in Botsford’s station.
